Next Album is Country!!

Post by changingchannels »

From the studio diary available at radio margaritaville Jimmy states, "Started working on a new song last night that will probably go on the country album we will do next."

Boy I hope not!
I liked Jimmy's old school, but No way near what
he does now a days! I hope he doesn't do country!

PHINZ UP!!
PHINZ UP

We ask ourselves when we get in a fix,
what would Popeye do in a tight spot like this?
He'd race to his true love and easily win it, in a all spinach can with a mast stuck in it!

Riddles In The Sand was also what Jimmy decribed as a "Country" album and although not my favorite it is still pretty good.

How about some songs with Jerry Jeff? That would be great. Gotta like Railroad, West Nashville...

"Riddles" rules---and so does Bubba. I personnally can't wait to hear this "country" record.
Jimmy should keep mixing it up--and I'd bet another record of other "usual stuff" would follow quickly! Just one man's ophinion!!

This thread reminds me of the Buffett song "Brand new country Star". Anyway, i saw that to in the diary. Should be interesting.

Bring on the country music. Gives me a reason to go out and buy a Stenson.

Jimmy has always been "closet" country western anyway. He started out wanting to be a country western singer. He loves Patsy Cline and says "no one can touch her, and he hangs on every line". It's a natural evolution for a boy from Mississippi. I look forward to the album and should be great. I've been a PH since Tin Cup Chalice first came out. This pirate is looking at 50 on June 28!

Its Stetson, darling. We wouldn't want you to look like a complete rube when you go to the cowboy store.
