something i noticed about grisham

i love the pedal steel guitar on all of the classic JB albums. i saw the 7/5 show saturday, and something bothered me pretty bad. you could no hear the pedal steel at all other than during WDWGDAS. is there a reason for this? is it because of the acoustics and the fact i was on the lawn?
