Review : Well.....what can you say? It was quite a memorable night! We got to the HOB at 6 and ate, then proceeded upstairs to the Music Hall. It was busy, but not terribly crowded...at first. The show started at about 9:30 with Club Trini. Earlier, Buffett was spotted by Dave in one of the balcony boxes. Jimmy was watching the crowd and having a great time! While Club Trini was on, Jimmy was back in the box and grinning from ear to ear! He seemed thrilled to be there and excited to be doing a club show! Jimmy came on at a bit after 10 and played until just after 12. No break, no intermission! In fact, at the end of the show, he told the masses that they were not going to do the ***** of leaving the stage and waiting for the encore clapping. Then he realized that sounded a bit cocky and told us, "That is if we deserve it. My mother raised me better than that!" As you can see by the set list, we saw quite a varied show. I enjoyed that he didn't focus too much on the "Songs You Know by Heart," trying instead old standards and some new stuff. Jimmy behaved pretty well until just before "SchoolBOy Heart." At that point he commented on the pretty women supplying beer to the front row via cases of beer. "Parrot Heads know how to restock!" He promised he would take the drinks offered and a shot after the "complicated chords" in the next song. True to his word, he took the shots and was drinking people's beers the rest of the night. Having never seen him drink while doing a show, it was funny to see him get a little loopy towards the end of the concert. The songs he did were spectacular and awesome to see from yards away, but I really enjoyed the band songs such as "Sweet Home Chicago," "My girl"(done by the BIG and talented Charletson Miles), and "Johnny B. Goode." Just before that last song, Charleston sang and Jimmy pondered aloud "How can you top that?" Then out pops Joe Walsh, one of my favorite performers!!! They blew the roof off with "Johnny" and then the place really started rocking! It really felt like the whole place really got into it after that! The general feeling mellowed a bit and people stopped pushing quite so much and seemed to have a better time! At one point during the night, I don't remember when, Jimmy dumped himself into the crowd and they carried him back up to the stage. That was quite a surprise to see! I was thrilled to hear "Southern Cross" and I'm glad it's quickly becoming a standard of the band. He does the song well at a regular concert and was AMAZING at this show. To make a long story short, it was a most amazing sight and sound experience. The only negative was the few people who drank WAY too much and were general jerks. People seemed to really enjoy the show overall from the folks in the balcony who weren't necessarily big fans (I think they liked watching the craziness down below) to the fans crowded up to the stage to the man himself. He kept saying how much he and the band liked playing like this. After the show, they looked tired, but happy! I would guess that the unplanned, even if only partially unplanned, show takes more out of you. If you get a chance to see Jimmy like this, try! It was worth much, much more than the $60 we paid!

Review : Can words really describe this show??? NO!!! Simply unbelievable. Jimmy was in a great mood all night, joking with the crowd, even before the show started he was hiding in one of the opera boxes and teased the fans by popping his head in and out of view. Great to see Joe Walsh, and the band sounded great doing a number of cover tunes.

Review : My voice is gone, I'm hungover and I'm one of the happiest parrotheads around. It was pure Utopia. Jimmy seemed to be having a great time, very relaxed and enjoying himself. He let the band play a few songs while he watched from the rafters and then delighted the crowd by joining the band and singing "Fruitcakes." The parrotheads all had a blast hugging and singing along to all the songs. Friendliest happiest concert I've ever attended. Girls/guys...it didn't matter. Everyone hugged and sang reveling in all things Jimmy. Joe Walsh jammed with Jimmy for a song and Jimmy's roadie came on the stage to do a rendition of the Temptations' "My Girl." During "Fins", Jimmy layed down on the crowd and let all the waving hands hold him up. He ended the show with "You Can't Always Get What You Want" and this time, by being able to see this show, I feel like I got what I wanted and needed. It's all about the love...thank you Jimmy.

Review : The show was simply the best I have ever seen. Even waiting in line for tickets on Saturday was great. The bar was open at 7:00am at the House of Blues and the played nothing but Jimmy for 5 hours. As for the show itself, well I don't think they could have possibly stuffed any more people in there, but that aside, Jimmy was in great form. He seemed to be having a blast, siging autographs, doing shots, falling in the crowd, - and oh yeah playing music. The setlist was awsome. Normally I am a lawn guy, and if this is how the pavillion people live, well I'll see ya there next year.

Review : This was the most unbelievable show ever!!! Jimmy was just awesome, the venue was great, the people were great...what more could you want?!We were in the "front row" - what an experience!!! Jimmy smiled and laughed and was SO COOL the entire show!!!! Autographs, hi-fives, the "fall" into the crowd, WHAT A GUY!!! We were at the H.O.B. at 4:30am on Saturday and back again at 4:30pm on Tuesday. We felt SO lucky to get the tickets!!! Like a previous reviewer said, the whole thing even on SATURDAY was awesome!!! True Die Hard people who just love Jimmy and what he is all about! Talk about stamina...Jimmy just kept on going and going...I was actually starting to get tired (from standing for nearly 6 hours), and kept thinking that he MUST be going to take a break soon...but NO...HOW COOL!!!! One great tune after another!!! I could go on and on...I just don't want to let it go!!!!THANKS JIMMY!!!!

Review : Incredible experience! Everything from the very start on Saturday morning to midnight last night was the best Jimmy experience I've ever had. He is AWESOME! Very up close and personal. We were in the 1st balcony just to the right. I was able to sit on the ledge to await the show. I had a beautiful view of Jimmy (and he is beautiful) and was able to watch the whole croud which is also the show. When Jimmy was sitting in the sky box I was so close I almost went crazy. Never Never Never will I forget this show! All the performers were fantastic but I have to mention Fingers Taylor. Man can that guy play the harmonica. I just wanted to get on stage and feel his energy. Super great time had by everyone. I'm so grateful I was there and I'll be thanking my LUCKY STARS for along time

Review : Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefers performance at the Chicago House of Blues was FANTASTIC!!!!!!! He was more laid back then I have ever seen him at one of his shoes - and it was amazing how much interaction he had with his fans up near the stage!!!!! They truly enjoyed performing - it really showed in their faces. It was a party atmosphere and Jimmy just went along with everything. This was a once in a lifetime chance to see him at a venue of this size and being only 5 feet from the stage - was a total dream come true for this dedicated Parrothead!!!!!
