I'm dropping a post on this old thread from November 2008 because it is outstanding and I want to bump it to page 1. Since we have a few weeks before the next show, I went hunting for some old shows I didn't have in my library and found this 2006 New Orleans Jazz Fest show. WOW...great set list...great show.

Hey if you weren't on BN back then or you didn't grab this show when SunLover originally posted the tracks you should take a look. I think I've listened to it 3 times in the last 3 days.

THANK YOU!!!! this is one that brings chills to me when i think back to that day on the Grounds. The rain stayed away and opening with City of New Orleans and ending with Biloxi was perfect! Truly Magical WHO DAT

The ftp server is working you need to make sure you have Filezilla configured correctly in order to access it.

How do you configure FileZilla in order for it to work? Can you give me 5 steps?

The servebeer ftp server no longer exists at this point, back before Sunlover began capturing shows and had his own cloud server, there were several ftp servers owned by several different Buffett fans. These included Holylands, Servebeer, BuffettMP3, Jokelben, Church of Buffett, Jimmydreamz, Mickey's Audio Island and a few others. While the number of FTP servers was plentiful the contents from server to server, all tended to have the same collection of MP3 recordings uploaded to them. The reason for this is that the early FTP servers were not very reliable at times in terms of being able to connect to them. So people who recorded Jimmy's show often uploaded copies to more then one FTP server so that there would be access to the recordings in case one of the servers was down.

These servers are now things of the past and no longer exist. All of the early FTP servers existed before the cloud storage came along, which is where both jokelben servers are located. Jokelben's collection was built in some cases from the contents of some of the early FTP servers I mentioned above. There is a folder on the jokelben server that contains the full contents of the old Church of Buffett ftp server. Some of the shows from before March 1999 when RM began streaming shows live are from some of the early ftp servers as well. Also the copy of Cocktails at Sunrise, the Marvin Gardens Alive and Pickin collection and the odds and ends collections all came from the early ftp servers

As I have said above you do not need ftp access as ALL AVAILABLE SHOW RECORDINGS can be found on either Jokelben 2.0 or Jokelben 2.1. I also previously said Sunlover does have and ftp server but the shows on his server only go back as far as 2008 which is when Sunlover began capturing shows and posting them here on BN, and all of the shows on Sunlover's FTP server are also on both jokelben servers.
