Fan Reviews:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

By Gail:

I'm not a fan of the new cd, but, he did do my second favorite song from it (Waiting for the Next Explosion) and did set the crowd up by doing CocoTel in the fourth position. IMHO, not one of the best I've been to, but any JB concert is better than none.

And, at least when the BHOTM songs were played, we were treated to extended videos of Peter Mayer (sleeveless Hawaiian shirt and buff colored jeans for those of us that care) lead guitar riffs. Keep up the good work, video guys!

Club Trini plays beforehand, so make sure you get there early to catch their set. Unfortunately, their new cd isn't ready yet.

From Drifty the Gypsy:

Club Trini was excellent until the over zealous security positioned themselves between the band and the crowd... and the band starts getting p***. Tina, going up to them and saying we don't need you, get lost. Finally Mike Mooney, walked up to each one and said something that made them move. I mean, this is the third year Club Trini has been performing, and yes they did at Camden the last two years. Well, maybe the security people are just getting in practice for OzFest this weekend.

Backstage, Heather was there, Jimmy invited her into town and took her out for a surprise dinner. As for Heather's touring, well she told us, that she had broken her fifth metatarsal, but it was healed. And she sure looked good dancing during Club Trini. Anyway, she is not part of the tour this year. Although, Heather says that if you want to see her as part of the show they are going to leave it up to the internet. You can write to Margaritaville and request the return of Heather.

Let me see, Jackson supposedly had the book with him but it was in the car, I got there late, just in time for Club Trini (yes, I do have a real job). So I'll have to wait for Sat to see it. Thats about it, I loved Ringling... sorry always did like that song, Jimmy seemed excited this year with all the new songs and mix of old.

By Alex:

Awesome show, Heather was there and her foot/ankle is fine now but she is not going to be back with the tour this year. Mark and I had a good chat with her and she wants to come back, but I guess the powers to be say NOPE..... Heather did ask us to spread the word that we want her back and Jimmy may reconsider...

I Usually don't look at men's asses but if you get a chance to see this tour, Dr. Utley has a mighty fine ass.... One in which to "MOON" the whole crowd...

From Jan Gera:

Set stayed basically the same...Parking lot crowd was significantly calmer than usual! Video CILCIA was Phila Phans...Video Montage coming out of intermission was composite of last years tour with JB biking all over America! The I Dream of Jeannie clip was pretty goofy. Pacing the Cage was final encore and hauntingly beautiful!! Terrific show...can't wait for Saturday night!

This was my fifth concert, and, in my opinion, the best yet. I couldn't believe the energy coming from that stage! Not only was Jimmy enjoying himself immensely, the CRB were awesome! Fingers, in particular, was incredible! This is the "earliest" in the tour season that I've seen Jimmy and company, and maybe it was that, or the cool, lo-humidity night in beautiful Camden....whatever it was, it was magic. There's no place like the lawn on a night like that. I loved the video clips and the fact that BHOTM was well-represented in the set list. All in all.....a wonderful evening on the Island of Margaritaville.
