Well, there were 400 to 500 people there I would guess. We got in because we are active members of the local Parrot Head Club. Other people got in by various connections with the Margaritaville store, band, security, restaurants, etc... There were a good number of people who are the kind you wish weren't there - those just there for the free beer.

Jimmy mentioned that at the Today Show people were screaming "Math Suks" and Matt Lauer thought they were screaming "Matt Sucks". Said Matt was feeling really bad till it was explained to him!

Just rolled in from Charleston and my first-ever rehearsal concert. Jimmy and the boys (and gals) were tight and had the North Charleston Coliseum rockin' today. Due to having to coach my daughter's last baseball game this morning, I wasn't able to leave town until noon, had a 2 1/2 hour drive ahead of me, and missed the first half of the show. But it was well worth it. As I arrived at the coliseum, Bubba was dishin' up Gumbo and havin' a blast. 'Twas awesome as I walked unhurried to within 10 feet of the stage and settled in for the rest of the performance. All the songs you know by heart were played and Jimmy is back to playing brown Eyed Girl again. Pacing the Cage was phabulous and sounded great live. Jimmy only mangled a few lines the whole day (at least from the time I was there). Set List Surprise: I missed this jewel too from the first set, but they played Ringling, Ringling. Can' wait to hear it Tuesday. Flesh & Bone was killer also with Jim Mayer providing the bass vocal in the chorus. The back drop remained constant throughout with an ocean/beach scene and a "full earth" rising over the lunar sea.

Jimmy has the stage set up like a dock by the sea with a little shanty on the right & Robert G pounding the pans in front of it. Looks like an ol' bait shack that's almost ready to collapse around Robert. Pete, Mac and Jim are wholed up next to one another on the left side of the stage and don't have a lot of room to maneuver around. Doyle Grisham was stuck between Roger's drum set-up and the bait shack and appeared scrunched there as well. Tina and Nadirah seem to have the most freedom on the left side of the stage. Amy & the boys are on the right side of the stage and have choreographed some really kool moves. All in all it was a fun experience. If only all of Jimmy's concerts were this wide open and unstructured. BTW, Jimmy messed up a lyric on Flesh & Bone and grabbed someone's liner notes from the audience to check out the lyrics. See y'all Tuesday in Charlotte......

Oh yeah....I phinally got to meet Jackson "BubbaFreak" Quigley. Made the whole trip that much more enjoyable. His new ParrotHead book will be out this summer, so keep your eyes peeled for the announcement. Look out Jimmy.....Should be a NY Times Best Seller :-))
