Recently there was a thread about the best songs that had been written ABOUT Jimmy, like Hangin with Jimmy Buffett. But IMHO the best songs about Jimmy are the ones he writes himself. Songs about his life, his philosophies, his family, his relatives, his relationships, his ups and downs, his travels, etc. So I have started compiling a list of those songs. I have tried to limit them to just the ones that Jimmy wrote by himself but in a couple of places some one like Mike Utley may have co-written. The songs are listed just randomly. I did not try and put them in chronological order. And I am sure that all of you long time parrot heads will have your own opinion about songs that should or should not be included. Here goes:
