SunLover,

Thank you for all you do. Is there anyway you could put Live By The Bay on the same server as the Mville.tv shows? Like from VCR to the computer?

Challenge accepted. Let me see what I can do with that.

If nobody has it readily available, I have easy means to digitize it. Am happy to do it. I did it once before too for a traditional B&P/vine here if I remember correctly, but I believe the original is long gone.

FYI, I copied it from VHS to my computer last night. Am uploading to YouTube temporarily to use their editor to trim and download again in a better format (original .mpg was about 4gb). Once I have that, I can upload it to the server for review. But... I'd prefer some verification that it is okay to do so. I know there were some issues with large uploads to Jokelben recently and don't want to mess things up. No idea if anyone has a better method that will yield better results, but there's no harm in trying. Minimal effort on my part.

I also have Tales from Margaritavision on VHS that I can do the same with if it isn't already done. May even have a couple of old TV appearances on VHS buried in a box somewhere. If I do, I can gladly do those as well.

I have already captured LBTB from Laserdisc some years ago. I just need to convert the m2t file, which is about 12GB to .mp4 and post it to Mega.

I also did a capture of Margaritavision from VHS to mpg and need to check that one for size. It would be good to get these up since there are frequent requests for them.

As far as posting large videos to jokelben or my FTP, I would recommend against that simply because of individual file size. That may have been what shut down jokelben a few months ago. At last check, jokelben is over 146GB in size!

I would love to see LBTB from Laser Disc. I own the laser disc but never had a good way to transfer it. I have a pretty good copy of a video to DVD transfer.

I was just digging through my old box of VHS tapes this morning looking at what I might be able to convert.

No doubt that a laserdisc rip will trump my vhs conversion, so I won't bother going any further with that and if TFM is already done too, then I'll just sit back and leave it to the experts. If I come across any other goodies, then I will definitely get those converted before they're lost to time.

Nautical Wheelers, though performed at the show,
did not make it onto the Live By The Bay video.

It was also before Too Drunk To Karaoke was written,
so ... you know ... I'm not interested in this show.

Was this an attempt at humor?

Would it help if I added the "salt salt salt" chant to Margaritaville?

Live By The Bay is now available. Remember when Buffett and Utley had all that hair!

This was captured from Laserdisc and is the best possible image I could create.

This video is posted on Mega, no FTP is available.

Video: Live By The Bay (1:28:04, 1.92GB, .mp4, 3Mbps)

Margaritaville without the "Salt, Salt, Salt" chant.

I think I am going to cry happy tears.

I guess that means that back in those days, Linda was nobody to no one.
