Leonard Simon Nimoy
March 26, 1931 – February 27, 2015

"We are assembled here today to pay final respects to our honored dead.
And yet it should be noted, in the midst of our sorrow,
this death takes place in the shadow of new life,
the sunrise of a new world;
a world that our beloved comrade gave his life to protect and nourish.
He did not feel this sacrifice a vain or empty one,
and we will not debate his profound wisdom at these proceedings.
Of my friend, I can only say this:
Of all the souls I have encountered in my travels, his was the most... human."

- Admiral James T. Kirk

I wonder if they'll write this into an episode of The Big Bang Theory since Sheldon is supposed to be such a big Leonard Nimoy fan. I remember the Christmas episode when Leonard Nimoy was supposed to have been one of Penny's customers in the Cheesecake Factory and she gave Sheldon a napkin autographed by him, then apologized that it was a little messy because Leonard had wiped his mouth on it. Sheldon said "Do you realize what this means? All I need is a healthy ovum and I can grow my own Leonard Nimoy."
