Sorry to barge in and steal the Tuesday thread.

Just got some news, good news. No. GREAT NEWS.

We hadn't been able to get news of some dear friends who live just outside of Port Vila in Vanuatu. We knew where the live wasn't as badly wind affected as some places but the village is low lying and right on the bay.

Well, just got an email.

They're all healthy and safe.

The village is a disaster but that can be fixed.

Such a relief.

Oh, since I've let myself in this morning I've made sure that the espresso machine is on, the bacon is frying, the eggs are poaching and there might be a tiny rum drink, just over there...

Oh boy do I know that feeling. We have been without a pup for about 5 years now, and the kids would like another one. But I am not fond of picking up dog turds. I do love dogs. Just don't love turds.

Good morning Colleen and Nancy.Our dog daze is over.

Good news Rabz.We live in a disaster free area,except for one huge storm that spawned tornadoes.My wife was a nurse for some of the survivors.She still dreads thunder storms.

We also had an earthquake!The fish tank sloshed.No fish were hurt,just dizzy.

Good morning peoples. It's only 48 degrees but after 2 days of a lot of rain it's semi-sunny. Maybe I'll take a ride to the park.

We had an earthquake a few years ago when I still lived on Long Island. I was in my car at the time, the road moved under me. I stopped at the first bar I saw and had a beer.

Actually, forget that, I'm going to go to Elwoods for a beer and a bask in the sun over my lunch break. Target will be there any day, this gorgeous weather is all too short-lived around here.
