Jokelben 2.0 (updated)

Hosted on Image

Jokelben 2.0 has been moved to a new site. It is now hosted on pCloud, which is a similar site to Mega.nz. Downloading from Jokelben 2.0 is still very easy with just a few clicks. (The version history and updates are posted below).

When you visit Jokelben 2.0, you will find all your favorite shows and other rarities. Some content has been moved to different folders, but nothing has been lost. (Content may vary from posted screenshots)

Image
Screenshot: Download multiple shows in a few clicks

You can select multiple show folders to download. After selecting the shows you want, click the "Download Selected" button.

Your download will be sent as an archive ZIP file and will go to your default "Downloads" folder. The ZIP file will be named "public-archivedwl-xx.zip", where "xx" is a random number. When you unzip the file, the extracted show folder will be the correct name of the show. Windows, iOS, and Linux have built-in ZIP extraction capabilities or you can use a third party app to unzip the files.

Want to preview a show before downloading? You can stream the shows within Jokelben 2.0. Simply click the track you want to hear and the built-in player will start playback.

The Treasure Box collection has been updated to Treasure Box 2.0 by urlcenter and is available in reorganized folders.

Updated FAQs
  • Is it safe to download from pCloud? Downloading from any site has its risks. You just need to know what you are downloading and who posted the content. This is the same great collection of JB content you have been browsing for years on Jokelben and is perfectly safe.
  • Do I need an account to download from pCloud? You do not need an account to download, either by the website or with the app.
  • What browser do you recommend for downloading? I recommend using either Google Chrome or Firefox.
  • Do I need to install any software to my computer to download shows? You do not need to install anything for downloading. You can simply download with your browser or with the mobile app, available here for Windows, iTunes, and Android.
  • What is the “Copy to my pCloud” option? If you have a pCloud account and are logged on, you can copy the shows to your own folders without downloading to your PC or mobile device.
  • Why not just post all the shows on your (SunLover) FTP site? I am in the process of cleaning up my site and posting more shows there. The full Jokelben content (without dupes) is over 127GB, which can draw unfavorable attention from web hosting companies. For now, the full mirror site will be on pCloud.
  • Will the DVD images of Margaritavision, LBTB, etc be added to pCloud? Eventually, some video content may be added. For now, Margaritavision, LBTB, and the 2010 Gulf Coast show are still on Mega in their own folders (not under the original Jokelben 2.0). They are linked from other posts in this forum.
  • How were the duplicate files deleted? Did any shows get deleted by mistake? I have a complete backup of the Jokelben FTP. I scanned the entire contents, which consisted of more than 21,000 files in 150GB. Exact duplicate files were identified with the scanning program. The dupes were carefully selected, usually by the folder name (copy 2, copy 3, etc) and deleted. Remaining duplicate files that were not detected by matching size were checked to determine if they were complete. In some cases, the duplicate named files were incomplete or corrupted, most likely from an earlier backup that did not run completely. In cases when a show was available in multiple formats (for example: mp3 and wma) and the sound quality was identical, the wma files were deleted in favor of mp3. If the sound quality of one format was better than the other, the better sounding files were retained, even if it is a proprietary format such as wma. For shows that had an upgraded capture available, the original files were deleted. These show folders are identified with "(upgrade)" in the name.
  • Why was Jokelben 2.0 moved from Mega to pCloud? The pCloud site offers better prices for bandwidth and storage capacity, plus they take Paypal for USD payment. Mega requires using bitcoins, which have to be purchased through a third party. By the time price conversion occurs from USD to Euros, I don't actually get the price per month (paid annually) that I was supposed to get.
  • Can I link to any of the show folders? Sorry, hot linking is not available. However, you may stream the shows or simply download them.

    Version History:

    2.0
    • Launched Jokelben content on Mega. Due to the space and hosting limitations of FTP, the Jokelben content was posted to a cloud site with more storage space.
    • Updated missing or inaccurate ID3 tag information in all the files. This is the title and album info that displays in software and most hardware mp3 players.
    • Fixed missing track numbers in ID3 tags. The track number can help play the files in order on some players.
    • Deleted over 4,300 duplicate files. This removed 35GB of content that was just taking up space on the server. Many of the dupes were from recent backup recoveries and were labeled as "copy 2", "copy 3", etc.
    2.1
    • Migrated all content to new cloud site, pCloud. The cloud site “pCloud” is more stable and easier to navigate than Mega.
    • Renamed all concert files with show names. The file names now have the city and date of the show, so you won’t potentially have 610 files simply called “Come Monday”.
    • Consolidated concerts in folders by decades (1970s, 1980s, etc). All shows by decade have been posted in the appropriate folders to avoid the longer single list for easier browsing.
    • Consolidated CD release Radio Specials in single folder.Radio Specials and other similar content have been or will be placed in single folders.
    • Added updated Treasure Box 2.0. Treasure Box was updated by urlcenter and has been posted as Treasure Box 2.0.

As always, if you have any questions, please let me know or post below in this thread.

Thanks so much Sunlover! Without you we wouldn't have any of these shows that we all treasure so much.

Sunlover:
I used Mega to download two shows with Finger Taylor on them (Bristow, 6-28-2007 and Las Vegas, 10-21-06). Instead of putting them in my music folders to be readily accessible by Windows Media Player, it put them in a Download folder. How do I set it up so that they automatically go in the right folder?

Thanks for all you do.

RMM

Sorry, but there is not a way within Mega to download the files to a specific location. The download destination is determined by your browser settings, which is usually to your "Downloads" folder within your user profile. Your best option is simply to cut/paste the show folders from the Downloads folder to the desired location once the download is complete.

When i go to the Jokelben 2.0 link I don't see any shows past 1997. Were the other shows taken down?

Thanks

I'm in the process of moving the content. More info coming as the move is complete, hopefully within the next few days...

Not to worry, no shows have been lost. 8)

Thanx, pal! I know a LOT of hard work went into all that and I hope you know that everyone appreciates it! :D

So once again, I owe you a beer! In fact, I owe you so many beers, I'm thinking of just cheaping out and buying you your own brewery...
