You know, i think fingers and jimmy have always had problems. I know a couple of albums in the 80's that fingers was not on. One Particular Harbour to name one. I may be wrong, but i think fingers and jimmy always had problems.

It has been already what two years since Fingers left. I doubt that he will come back for this tour. One thing for sure getting tickets hasn't become any easier since his departure. That should tell you something right there.

I'm reminded of what Miles Copeland (manager) once told the members of Sting's solo band:
"Look, I love you and you're a great player, but when it comes to the money on the table, it's Sting's table. Suppose you get sick and can't make the show tonight. How many fans are going to ask for a refund? None of them. Now suppose Sting gets sick and can't play, but you're still up there on stage. How many fans are going to ask for a refund then? Every single one of them."

The discussion regarding the rift between JB and FT is quite interesting. It could be about money, a woman, or JB's refusal to let FT's family accompany them on tour. I think we can agree on this: No one knows!

Um, actually "we" do know. Some people might be making some of this up, but I can tell you Lee and I know the truth. We both got it from the same source. One who is very close to Jimmy and saw the whole thing happen over the years.

And as I'm sure Matt will tell you, with priviledged access comes the responsibility of not sharing information that was offered in confidence. It's a bummer, but I value my relationships with the people I know more than I feel the need to provide details to set the record straight.

I am not really interested in knowing what happened. I have no interest in the personal life of JB. It was all of the deliniation that made this thread interesting with everyone offering their thoughts and perspectives. I certainly respect NYC Port and Key Lime Lee for not devulging information that was provided to them in confidence.
